Who we are
Time 2 Live Again (time2liveagain.com) is published by Time 2 Live Again Limited, South Wales, and written by Brendon Craft. For anything on this page, get in touch through the contact page or at contact@time2liveagain.com.
What gets collected
Analytics. This site runs on WordPress.com with Jetpack, which records basic visit data: pages viewed, rough location, referring site, browser and device type. It tells us which posts people actually read. We don’t see who you are.
Email. The newsletter is sent with beehiiv. If you subscribe through any form on this site, your email address is stored by beehiiv so we can send you posts, and beehiiv records whether those emails are opened and which links in them are clicked. Unsubscribe any time using the link in any email and you are off the list. beehiiv publishes its own privacy policy covering what it does with that data.
Comments. If you comment, your name, email and comment are stored, and screened for spam by Akismet.
Affiliate links and tracking
Some posts carry affiliate links. If you buy or book through one, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Which programmes we are in, and how those links are labelled, is set out in full on our affiliate disclosure page.
Bookshop.org. Every book link on this site goes to Bookshop.org UK. Clicking one sets a cookie so that a purchase can be attributed to us.
Awin. Links to drink, menswear and watch retailers are handled through the Awin affiliate network. Clicking one sets a cookie, and Awin records the click and any purchase that follows so the commission can be attributed to us. Awin publishes its own privacy notice covering what it does with that data.
Stay22. Travel posts use a service called Stay22. It runs a script on this site that recognises accommodation mentioned in an article and turns it into a booking link, then tracks whether a booking followed so the commission can be attributed. To do that it sets cookies and processes your IP address, the page you’re on and your interaction with those links. Stay22 works with booking partners including Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, KAYAK, TripAdvisor, Agoda, Vrbo and GetYourGuide. Their own privacy policy is at stay22.com/privacy.
Some of those accommodation links are inserted automatically rather than chosen by us. An automatic link is not a recommendation. Where we are actually recommending somewhere, we say so in the writing.
Cookies
Cookies on this site fall into three buckets: ones that make the site work, ones that count visits, and ones that attribute affiliate bookings and purchases. You can refuse non-essential cookies through the banner shown on your first visit, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them won’t stop you reading anything here.
Your rights
If you’re in the UK or EU, you can ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold on you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it’s used. Email us through the contact page and we’ll sort it. If you think we’ve handled it badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we add anything that changes how data is handled here, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top.
