I had a large following as a DJ and musician.
This meant lots of acquaintances.
Some friends.
And among them, there were the kindred spirits—the ones you recognise instantly, not because they or you always get it right, but because of how they show up. How they shake hands. How they look after folks. How they choose their missions and pursuits in life.
There’s a weight to that kind of person. A quiet certainty. A man like that doesn’t need to announce himself—you just know. However; I get to do that for him today.
